Library Conduct

Good library habits make room for better learning.

Every visitor is expected to observe these guidelines while using the library and its resources.

Guideline 01

Entry guidelines that help maintain a secure and orderly library.

Library hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
A borrower card must be presented upon entry. No card, no entry.
Only readers and researchers are allowed inside the library.
A borrower's card is not transferable. Lost cards may be replaced at the Cashier's Office.

Guideline 02

Shared-space practices that keep the library comfortable for everyone.

Silence must be observed at all times. Noise, laughter, and unnecessary conversation are not tolerated.
Eating is strictly not allowed inside the library.
Bags and cases must be placed in the designated area. Bring only valuables, a ballpen, and a notebook.
Paper scraps must not be left on tables. Please use the waste can.
Chairs must be arranged properly after use.

Guideline 03

Simple practices that preserve the collection and keep materials easy to find.

The library uses an open shelf system. Users may browse freely, but books must be returned to their proper places.
Users should consult the card catalog and note the call number before going to the shelf.
No books may be taken out without the librarian's permission.

Guideline 04

Accountability measures for protecting library resources and user privileges.

Lost books must be reported to the librarian immediately.
Damaged books must be replaced or the equivalent cost must be paid.
Missing pages in any material must be reported to the librarian immediately.
Any violation is subject to disciplinary action and penalties affecting library privileges.
